MESSAGE TO PRESIDENT PRABOWO
FOREST FIRES (KARHUTLA), ECONOMY & INFLATION
====================================================
Mr. President Prabowo,
We, the people of Indonesia, urge you to act
immediately—not stay silent—in addressing three
interconnected issues:
1. FOREST AND LAND FIRES (KARHUTLA)
Haze from forest fires is back. This is not just an
environmental issue, but also a matter of public
health, disrupted flights, closed schools, and
paralyzed economic activity in affected areas.
Law enforcement against land burners must be firm,
without exception.
2. ECONOMY
People's purchasing power continues to weaken. Jobs
are scarce, layoffs (PHK) are widespread, and the
price of basic necessities keeps rising. The people
need real policies that side with the small economy—
not just promises and rhetoric.
3. INFLATION
Food and basic commodity prices keep climbing.
Uncontrolled inflation erodes people's purchasing
power. Market operations, price stabilization, and
distribution oversight must be genuinely implemented
on the ground—not just on paper.
Mr. President, forest fires worsen the economy, a weak
economy aggravates inflation, and uncontrolled
inflation makes the people suffer. Do not wait until
the people suffer even more.
ACT NOW. DON'T STAY SILENT.
